“Terriers in the Jungle” Screenplay

Georja Umano and Guillermo del Toro

“Terriers in the Jungle” has much in common with “Pinocchio.” The innocent and rambunctious wooden boy clashes with harsh realities and unscrupulous people. The often-serious themes in the story unfold during entertaining song and dance.

So, too, in my story, two sweet talking dogs are plucked from their secure environment in California into an exhilarating African wonderland of wild beasts and dangerous characters where they must learn to survive, also highlighted by charming musical numbers.

The screenplay “Terriers in the Jungle, is adapted from “Terriers in the Jungle: A Novel,” which has won nine national and international literary awards.
